Kicked some ass......

Well boys and girls....saturday was one incredible day.....we were in the studio, Musico, and recorded and mixed 7 songs....sounds fuckin' excellent....a suberb learning experience for us as well....5 originals and 2 new songs are part of recording history....hope tp have a product ready for the public ASAP....look out here comes some really fuckin' deadly metal music...right up your ass!!!!!

We hung a mike (microphone) from the middle of the room and recorded most of our setlist onto my four-track. The sound was surprisingly good although we missed Mr. K. Heal up buddy!

Things are sounding tight....

Another productive jam last night....Mike (bass player) couldn't play but hung out to get the feel....worked on 2 old Sloth songs and they are sounding great...,.

What a great jam on friday night....we tried out a new bass player and he catches on really quick....Metal Kid is getting polished and Innocent Victim is coming along....Brent came with 3 or 4 new riffs....should be able to put something to that soon....well.... UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN......

Free Acid

Sicker than sick......last night.....temperature of 40 degrees (under armpit)......hallucinations (but only when I blinked) funnily yet nightmarishly of a chess game I played on the comp before I truley heated up.........very interesting how the mind works........I could easily envision the board and the different moves I had played against the guy who kicked my ass........Mag was working, Isabella was sleeping and I was freezing. I had sweatpants on, longsleeves and was tucked into bed.....I was afraid to sleep cuz I thought I'd bite it............Mag returned and helped me do what I knew I had to, cool down.............Remember that fever scene in that great flick Jacob's Ladder? The one with the ice-bath cooling session........I drank as much as I could and eventually made it into a shower where I was convulsing with the cold shakes...I slowly made the water as cool as I could........my muscles were contracting and my teeth and hair were electric like exposed nerves in a sandstorm..........anyways.........I eventually made it to sleep and more importantly woke up........and now I write.....

Mag and I just put in an offer on a home in Glenrosa today.........it's been accepted but is subject to a few conditions we have to see met.......I got the heeby jeebie's about major financial commitments but I guess it beats throwin' away rent money.......we'll see what happens.....

Willie showed me (Lance) a lot of the parts to Metal Kid last night and hopefully my mental floppy can retain them. Good tune, well thought out and complete with lyrics (extensive ones)......had fun and made some noise......beer is so great....in fact I'm gonna write a post about it.....hold on......

Sloth Update

Had a good jam.....it's been two weeks since we had Brent.....everything sounded good.......Krebs voice was on and we soloed more than normal which was good for the chops......I got the string gauge from hell; like piano wire but I kinda liked the bending restrictions and their sound......maybe I'll continue with them......tested my homemade brews on the band.....hopefully everyone's still kickin'.......Eric showed up......maybe we're complete.......we need a riff or two to round off 'Innocent Victim' or whatever the tune'll be.....the second person I've ever met who's read
Ouspensky (the first being a mad German transient sleeping in a Greek hostel courtyard in Rhodes) is Krebs!!! Interesting.....maybe he'll like The Book of the New Sun volumes.....I just lent him The Shadow of the Torturer........it's Kelowna's 100th and we're off to investigate......

Well...it was a tough run but i have made through the semester and passed all courses.....i actually brought my GPA up...................i'm proud of myself and my son because it was a very hard semester of studies......now i have a little time to some more writing and getting our sound tighter...............looking forward to our friday jam but we will be missing brent, my cousin, as "he is lost in love for the night" as our other guitar player, lance, quoted............all in pure good fun though as she is off an an adventure for a bit ..................then the SLOTH jam room could be mayhem............but will be fun..................UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN......

Well, it has been a very long haul but so far I have passed all of my exams. Going to take a day or two for reflection them I have to find a job....almost harder than work. I am going to enjoy tonight's jam...hopefully we can try out the new bass player guy.....till we meet again....

Sloth Update

We organized the room last night making a bunch of space......we put up some lights, etc......the sound is pretty crisp and Kevin's vocals are not buried anymore......nice........

We played 'Your Life' and incorporated my triplet riff into 'Innocent Victims' both of which will be worthy tunes.......

We need a bass player......next Friday we're trying out a guy named Rory.......see what happens........

Bugs ease nerves as drummer gets gender disoriented

Kevin's fine assortment of bottled samples of various aquatic buglife helped ease my nerves as Willie-Joe was giving me the jim-jams and the heebie-jeebies. We have pretty much completed Your Life, a Sabbathesque/C.O.C tune. Last night we added an intro which will also serve as a bridge later. Willie and Kevin both exchange dialogue....plodding heavy.......good stuff.......

We claim 30,000 dollars income. We have a dependant, still drooling. My accountant (charges 100$) says we owe 2980$. I'm an idiot with politics (and accounting for that matter) but isn't this Communism? At least they get free apartments. Fuck!
